Bass, however, is usually the hardest part to contain. That is because A-weighted readings (dBA) under-read low frequencies. So a quick dBA check can look fine while neighbors still hear the beat. Instead, we check C-weighted levels (dBC) and octave bands at 63 Hz and 125 Hz.
